ParentBrain

A family information assistant on iOS: profiles, a categorised document vault, emergency records and a timeline, with voice input and biometric lock.

Overview

An application for the information a family accumulates and no single system holds. Each family member has a profile; documents are captured into categories rather than a single folder; emergency information is kept where it can be reached under pressure; and a timeline holds what happened when. An assistant answers questions across all of it in conversation, with speech recognition for capture and speech synthesis for hands-free reply — which matters when the question arrives while driving or holding a child. A daily suggestion surface raises what is coming up. Access is protected by biometric authentication with credentials held in the system keychain, and the application is delivered as a subscription through the App Store.

Capabilities

Per-person profiles

Each family member has their own profile, so sizes, dates, preferences and history are attributed to a person rather than pooled into one undifferentiated store.

A categorised document vault

Documents are captured into categories — health, school, official records — rather than a single folder, which is what makes retrieval possible months later.

Emergency information kept reachable

Emergency records are held on a dedicated surface, so the details needed under pressure are not buried inside a general document list.

Conversational retrieval

An assistant answers across profiles, documents and timeline in conversation, so recall does not depend on remembering which category something was filed under.

Voice in and voice out

Speech recognition captures notes and questions; speech synthesis reads answers back. The moments a parent needs this are rarely moments with a free hand.

A timeline and daily suggestions

Events are held in chronological order and a daily surface raises what is approaching, so the application prompts rather than waiting to be asked.

Biometric lock and keychain storage

Access is protected by Face ID or Touch ID and credentials are stored in the system keychain. A family's records are not casual data.
